Gus Knebel

Gus Knebel is a partner in the Galveston office of Mills Shirley LLP. He represents land developers and closely held businesses in acquisitions and sales, real estate transactions, entity formation and restructuring, and commercial contracts.

His clients include owner-operated companies and developers along the Texas Gulf Coast. Much of that work involves local government, including zoning, permitting, development agreements, and municipal contracting in Galveston County and nearby jurisdictions. He also serves as outside city attorney for the City of La Marque, and he advises governmental entities on open meetings, civil service, and other statutory duties.

Between transactions, he advises businesses on contracts, employment matters, vendor relationships, and operational risk.

He earned a bachelor's degree in history from Texas A&M University in 2009 and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2012, the year he was admitted to the Texas bar.
