Young Lawyers

The Young Lawyers of the GCBA give newer lawyers a place to learn, lead, and serve alongside the rest of the association.

What the section does

  • Establish a close relationship with Galveston County young lawyers.
  • Provide educational and service programs that encourage professional development.
  • Guide young lawyers as they organize public service programs.
  • Support efforts to promote justice and improve the legal system.
  • Cooperate for the betterment of the profession and the work of both organizations.

Who can join

Eligible GCBA members are those under the age of 36 as of June 1 of the current calendar year, or members who have not practiced law in any jurisdiction for more than 60 months before that date. Members may remain in the section until they turn 36 or have been in the section for five years.

There are currently no dues to belong to the section.
