Bringing with him a distinguished record of judicial leadership and a deep commitment to the fair and principled administration of justice, Judge Brown spent 18 years in the Texas judiciary, serving six years each on the 55th District Court, the 14th Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Texas. His extensive judicial experience reflects both a broad understanding of the law and a long-standing dedication to the people of Texas. Judge Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas before graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center. Following law school, he clerked for two justices on the Supreme Court of Texas, where he gained invaluable insight into appellate practice and judicial reasoning. He later practiced law at Baker Botts in Houston, further strengthening his foundation in complex civil litigation and appellate advocacy. Throughout his career, Judge Brown has remained committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and public service. His judicial philosophy is shaped by decades of experience, a deep respect for the rule of law, and a sincere dedication to ensuring that every litigant is treated with fairness and dignity. Judge Brown and his wife, Susannah, are proud parents of three grown children and remain actively engaged in the Galveston County community.
